Electrical burning odor from overheated iron in home

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire units were dispatched to a home on Westwood Road in Alden for a reported smell of electrical burning inside the residence. Multiple departments were alerted for a possible residential fire alarm and odor of something burning. The homeowner later called back and reported that the smell appeared to be from an overheated iron, which had been unplugged, and units were told to stay in quarters or clear.
