Smoke investigation at apartment on West Nicholas Lane

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews and police responded to reports of smoke and people yelling from a third-floor apartment in a multifamily building on West Nicholas Lane. Occupants were seen on a balcony and later went back inside while smoke was still reported. Responding units found an audible alarm and a smoke-filled apartment with at least two people evacuating, while nothing was initially visible from outside.
