As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a trash truck on fire near (number withheld) Drive in Apex. Multiple units, including an engine, ladder, and battalion chief, worked to extinguish the fire. Water was applied to the trash compartment, and the fire was reported to be largely knocked down. Some responding units were released and returned to service.
