Brush fires near Atkins Nursing Center contained

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews were dispatched to a burn complaint involving several small brush fires near a nursing center on Northwest 7th Street in Atkins. The fires were reported behind a house and were initially thought to threaten a neighboring door, but were later described as under control with hoses and posing no apparent ongoing threat.
