Reported house fire found to be chimney smoke

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews and ambulance units were dispatched to reports of a possible structure fire along Alexander Street in the village of Avoca. Initial callers reported smoke from a residence, leading to a full fire response. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the smoke was coming from a chimney and there was no active fire. Units were recalled after the situation was confirmed as non-emergency.
