Apartment fire alarm with possible faulty detector

As discussed during the dispatch call, firefighters were dispatched to an apartment building on Geneva Street in the village of Bath for an automatic fire alarm. A caller on scene reported smelling smoke or flames, but no smoke or flames were visible and the alarm may have been caused by a faulty detector. Mutual aid from another fire department was initially requested and then canceled when local crews responded.
