Elk reported in roadway near M and A Cafe

As discussed during the dispatch call, units were dispatched to the area near a cafe by State Route 356 for a report of an elk in the roadway. Responding personnel searched the area near their quarters and north of the cafe, but it appears the elk was not seen in the road. An officer later contacted the registered owner of a vehicle associated with the incident after phone contact attempts were unsuccessful.
