Caller reports receiving messages from child asking for help; requests officer

As discussed during the dispatch call, units requested near W 5th St to speak with a male caller who reports receiving a text message and voicemail from his 8-year-old daughter asking for help. Caller advises the child does not live with him and that his mother has guardianship; he would like to speak with an officer.
