Patient left hospital with IV still in arm

As discussed during the dispatch call, medical personnel assisted at a residence near 5th Street South after a female patient left the hospital before her intravenous line was removed. Officers were asked to check if the intravenous device in her left elbow had been removed. The patient was later found near Medary and Brookline and planned to remove the device herself after riding her scooter home.
