Hit and run on Highway 34 off-ramp near Central Ave

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers responded to a reported hit and run on the eastbound off-ramp to Central Avenue near mile marker 262 on Highway 34. The suspect vehicle was described as a black passenger car, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, that apparently continued eastbound toward a nearby business. The vehicle’s license plates were reported as expired and suspended for an insurance violation out of Illinois.
