Interstate 70 west reopens almost seven hours after crash near Downtown that injured 3

Interstate 70 westbound at the Downtown interchange has reopened after a three-vehicle crash closed the highway for almost seven hours. The roadways reopened at around 5:40 p.m., according to a Columbus police dispatcher. The crash occurred at around 10:45 a.m. and involved a van and two tractor-trailers. Three people were injured in the crash. Two of them were hospitalized in stable condition while a third was in critical condition. The dispatcher did not have an update on the conditions of any of the three people. All of them were taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. All traffic from I-71 north was temporarily diverted onto I-71 south, snarling traffic and prompting significant delays.
