Carbon monoxide alarm sounding at West Jackson home

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews were sent to a home on West Jackson Street for a reported carbon monoxide alarm that had been sounding for about 20 minutes. Residents reported no apparent medical symptoms but mentioned a possible odor near two doors and said the alarm was going off in the kitchen. Fire units also investigated a fire alarm at a nearby municipal office, which appears to have been triggered when someone was handling the alarm panel. Responders later cleared and became available while heading back toward West Jackson Street.
