Power transformer blows near Janesville Avenue

As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatch received a report of a transformer that apparently blew on the west side of Janesville Avenue near South 7th Street, close to a bike trail and just south of a park entrance. Flames and sparks were initially seen but were no longer visible when officers arrived, and fire units and the utility company were requested to respond.
