Controlled burn causes heavy black smoke in Lexington

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews in Lexington were sent to reports of large black smoke near the (number withheld) block of FM 3403. Responding units determined it was a controlled burn involving stored oilfield equipment and plastic pipe, and the fire response was canceled.
