Woman reported trying to break into home and hitting a 3-year-old child

As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatch reports an attempted breaking and entering in progress near Jones Rd in Perla. A female suspect (name withheld) is reportedly trespassing and trying to break into the home. Radio traffic states the homeowner went outside with his child and the suspect reportedly struck the child (3 years old). Deputies are attempting to locate/contact the suspect, last reported in the front yard area.
