Child welfare check after report of assault

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers were dispatched to an apartment near E Parmer Ln for a priority-one report of a possible sexual assault of an infant. The caller initially reported the child’s mother was assaulting the child and that she was locked in a bathroom with the child. Radio traffic also indicates one person was taken into custody. The caller later advised it may have been a misunderstanding, and the call was reclassified as a child welfare check with a lower response priority.
