Burn pile mistaken for vegetation fire in McKinleyville

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire units were dispatched to a reported vegetation fire near Whittier Lane and Fieldbrook Road. On arrival, the incident was determined to be a burn pile, and only the closest fire resource was kept responding while the others were canceled. A law enforcement warning or citation was requested for the homeowner.
