Tree falls onto house in Minonk, blocking streets

As discussed during the dispatch call, radio traffic indicates that a large tree apparently fell onto a firefighter’s residence in the Minonk area, blocking nearby roads. Fire crews requested additional units to help close intersections near Lafayette, Route 116, and Walnut and to assess storm damage. A separate tractor trailer reportedly went into a ditch nearby, with the driver not injured.
