Child reports domestic assault between parents

As discussed during the dispatch call, police in Monterey responded to a reported domestic dispute at a residence on Main Road. The call was made by a child who locked herself in a room during a possible physical altercation between her parents. Officers and EMS were dispatched, and later communication indicated the situation was de-escalated though a physical assault was confirmed.
