Report of possible electrical fire at home

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire departments from New Athens, Harrisville, and Cadiz were dispatched to a home on East Wheeling Street in New Athens for a possible electrical fire after a caller reported a hazy appearance and a hot electrical smell. Responding units later reported nothing visible from the outside and indicated it only smelled like something had overheated while they investigated.
