Surfer rescued after separation from board near Rockaway Beach

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to a water rescue near the wayside at Rockaway Beach, where a surfer was reported about 35 to 50 yards offshore, separated from the surfboard and signaling for help. Multiple units, including rescue swimmers and watercraft, were dispatched and arrived on scene.
