Officer assists driver retrieving phone on interstate

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers respond to a report of a driver who may have lost a phone on top of their vehicle along westbound I-90 near exit 12 in Spearfish. The caller requested help blocking traffic while they look for the phone, and a white Ford Escape is associated with the incident.

We took an automatic crash detection call, and then I took an admin call from a gentleman that states he left his iPhone on top of his vehicle and it fell off while he was on the interstate westbound from exit twelve.

He wanted an officer to help block traffic while he gets his phone.

I transferred him down to highway patrol, however they have not needed out yet.
