Family member tries to remove patient from facility

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers were sent to a care facility near East Hartson Avenue for a welfare check after a nurse reported that a family member was attempting to take a patient out against medical advice. There is an open protective services case, and the patient is reportedly not allowed to leave with this family member, described as an older man with gray hair and a beard. Officers planned to meet staff at the nurse’s station on the east side of the building.
