Smoke odor investigated near Whitsons Run in Stafford

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a reported burning smell inside a two-story residence near Whitsons Run and Tanglewood in Stafford County. The homeowner reported an odor of smoke from the basement and main floor. Crews investigated, found an apparent smoke odor in the basement but no visible smoke, and searched the home, including for a pet cat.
