Summary: Tacoma Fire units responded to a smoke alarm activation at the Marine Apartments, located at 1402 Tacoma Avenue South. Upon arrival, Engine 1 established command and reported alarms sounding with residents evacuated from the approximately seven-story building. Crews investigated the source of the alarm, focusing on the sixth and seventh floors. A smoke detector was found activated outside room 612, with a light smoky haze observed in the unit. The alarm system was reset, and no fire or hazardous condition was found. The smoke condition cleared, and all units were returned to service.
