Chemical reaction after bleach mixed with drain cleaner

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire and police responded to a home on Westwood Drive for a possible hazardous materials situation after a caller reported that a resident mixed bleach and drain cleaner and then stopped answering phone calls. Crews advised police not to enter the house at first, then contacted the resident, who walked out of the home and refused medical care while firefighters worked to flush the bathroom area. A requested medical unit from Oakwood was later canceled.
