Apartment fire contained to appliance on Bladensburg Rd

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire units responded to reports of an odor of smoke in an upper-floor apartment at a multi-story residential building on Bladensburg Road Northeast in Washington, DC. Crews investigated the rear and basement areas and reported no fire extension, with the fire apparently contained to an appliance. Units were then returned to service.
