Fire alarm at mixed-use building on High Street

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a box alarm at a mixed-use commercial building on High Street. A two-story wood-frame structure with a walkout basement had fire alarms sounding, and smoke was reportedly indicated from a detector in the elevator machine room. Personnel evacuated the lower level as a precaution while they investigated, and no visible fire was initially reported from most sides of the building.
