I had a similar incident happen when I was a 16 yr. old kid, circa 1979. We were cruising the main drag, in the city I grew-up in, on like a Sat. nite. It was me, in my 1965 Chevy pick-up (plain olé truck) & this kid a couple'a yrs. older in his Corevette. We were just clowning around, because there's No way I could've Never beaten him in a race. Unbeknownst to me, a cop had pulled him over & ticketed him. It was kinda late, so I went home, unaware the other guy had received a "Drag Racing" ticket. The things angered me, 1.) the cop came to me house to write me a "Drag Racing", & was Asinine thinking I couldn't have Ever beaten a Corevette in a drag race. 2.) My father, & we Never cared for each other, just "threw me to the wolves"! Note: when I drove-off, after the "racing" BS, I didn't "Hall A$$". Just saying, things aren't always what they appear to be & dude might've not known the cop was wanting him too. No one chases after a cop & ask, "Where's my ticket"...
