Officers check suspicious vehicle on Poplar Street

Officers observed a suspicious car parked at the dead end of Poplar Street near Tenth Street. When police arrived, two people left the area on foot, walking behind nearby apartments toward Graham Street. The car had dark window tint, making it difficult to see inside. Units saw two people on Tenth Street matching the clothing seen earlier, including dark clothing and pajama pants. Officers requested a check of the car’s license plate, which came back to a Chevy Impala registered in South Carolina. The pair were believed to have gone into an apartment building in the 500 block of Tenth Street. Officers tried to locate and identify the individuals, but it was unclear if the people they later contacted were the same ones who left the vehicle.
