Police received reports of a man dragging and beating another man in an alley near 103rd Street and South Green Bay Avenue in Chicago. The victim was reported to be unconscious and lying in the alley. The suspect was described by clothing, including a hat, brown jacket, jeans, and work boots, and was said to have run into a nearby house. Fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene, and officers were told to keep the alley clear so the ambulance could reach the victim. Later radio traffic suggested the man on the ground might be intoxicated or overdosing.
