Resident loses $40,000 in phone phishing scam

Someone got a notification on their phone that her Apple ID had been hacked, and she clicked on the link and received a (number withheld) to call.

She called in, (number withheld), and they said it was her banking institution.

They had her verify her bank information and also her social security number, and told her to combine all of her accounts together.

And they were able to get $40000 from her account.

Requesting an investigation.
