Smoke alarm check and knife threat at apartment

Officers responded to a smoke alarm at an apartment on Wade Park Avenue. They entered the unit with the fire department, found no issue, and reset the alarm. During the call, dispatch reported a separate incident at a building on Superior Avenue where a security guard said a man who should not be there had a knife and was threatening to stab people. The man was reported to be on the ninth floor wearing a dark coat, hat, and blue pants. The guard later reported taking the knife away from the man. Units were sent to check the building.
