There's some new fires that have erupted in the area between like Sierra Valley and Sparks in the hills by like Cold Springs and stuff.
00:09
A couple of guys were chatting about it earlier, and I started trying to look it all up.
00:14
There's not much information on it because it's too new.
00:18
There's not even a flight restriction up yet.
00:32
know as soon as I got up here,
00:35
I could see smoke kind of to the north there.
00:40
I don't know if that's from that previous fire or not, though.
00:45
Kind of towards Hallelujah Junction out that way.
00:55
Yeah, the elephant fire is being left to burn.
00:59
It has spread significantly from where it started due to the west winds.
01:07
I actually flew over it on Thursday.
01:10
They had removed the TFR and they were just letting the thing burn out.
01:15
And I've got some video on it and a couple of pictures if you're curious.
01:21
As to what I saw, but it's not much.
01:23
Basically, it's kind of just, you know, dying out.
01:28
Part of it is kind of burned out, but it's burning down the hill towards US 395, which is a pain in the neck for anybody who's to the other side of it, like downwind.
01:38
And then there's this new fire which they're calling the Bronco Creek, which is just north of Cold Springs, which is really going to suck for everybody who's in that area.
