Welfare check finds missing man safe

Officers were asked to check on an older man at a home near 325 South after his daughter could not reach him by phone for two days. She said he has trouble walking, uses a cane, and is hard of hearing. Another daughter later spoke with officers and explained that their mother is in a nursing home and the father was likely in another room without his phone and often does not hear calls unless people keep calling. She said she had spoken with him about twenty minutes earlier. Officers confirmed that the man was safe and there was no emergency.
