Elderly woman with stroke symptoms en route to hospital

Emergency medical services are responding with Alpha 061 for an eighty-nine-year-old woman who shows signs of a possible stroke. She has weakness on her left side, slurred speech, and a slight droop on the left side of her face. Her symptoms started around (number withheld) a.m. She was fine during the night but now has some ongoing speech difficulty. She does not speak English, and her family is translating. Her vital signs include high blood pressure and a normal heart rate. She has no history of stroke and takes the medication Eliquis. She is being transported to the hospital for further evaluation, including a CT scan upon arrival.
