Caller reports being shot at from red pickup truck

Police respond to a report that a caller was shot at from a moving vehicle in Evansville. Officers track the caller’s phone location as it moves along several streets, including Adams, East Walnut, South Weinbach, East Division, Englewood, and East Illinois. A red Chevrolet pickup truck with a temporary paper plate is identified as the suspected vehicle on US 41 near the I-69 underpass. Multiple officers stop to check the truck and attempt to contact the reporting caller, whose name is withheld. The last phone signal shows the caller’s location before contact is lost.
