Suspicious person reported at Franklinton Food Lion

Store staff at the Food Lion in Franklinton reported a suspicious man who was staring at the store safe. He left the store, then returned and later walked out again. He was described as wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers. He was seen sitting in a silver pickup truck parked in the store’s to-go section and then driving away south from the entrance toward Speedway and a nearby Chinese restaurant. Officers checked the area and ran the vehicle information.
