A 10 year old child threatening to beat up her mom. Evidently the mother has been a friend to the child as opposed to being her parent. Clearly the child has been spoiled, not corrected and not taught respect, responsibility, accountability and consequences. It’s doubtful the mom has ever told her no. That could be the problem.

Agreed. This is what I imagine happens with the new "soft parenting" trend. smh
