Man found in car after fleeing near rail yard

A rail agency reports that a man ran from the rail yard area near the Metra tracks in Joliet. Staff saw him leave the yard and go toward the Morningstar Mission building near Washington Street. Officers were concerned about a vehicle parked by the tracks and whether it affected train traffic. An officer later found the man sitting in a car in the Morningstar Mission parking lot. The man said the car by the tracks was not his and that he had been running away from another person who was throwing rocks at him. A records check showed his driver’s license was suspended out of Joliet. Police were on scene with the rail police to deal with the situation.
