Couch and mattress fire at home on South Elm Avenue

Emergency crews responded to a house on South Elm Avenue for a couch that was on fire. The couch had been burning inside the home and was moved outside but was still burning when units were sent. Fire engines and an ambulance arrived, checked the house, and found no visible fire on most sides of the structure. A mattress was also removed from the basement and taken outside. The fire was brought under control, and the units on scene were able to handle the situation while other responding units were released.
