Woman revived after fentanyl overdose at care home

Emergency crews responded to a board and care facility for a 31-year-old woman who had overdosed after taking fentanyl. Staff reported finding her on the ground, unresponsive and not breathing normally, and called emergency services. Deputies arrived first, started CPR, and gave her several doses of a reversal medication. When firefighters arrived, they gave her more of the medication, after which she woke up and became alert and able to answer questions. Her breathing and vital signs were stable, and she was transported by ambulance to Grossmont Hospital for further care.
