Reported structure fire found to be residual smoke

Fire crews were sent to a reported building fire near East Gentile Street in Layton after someone saw smoke coming from a structure. The call was upgraded to a structure fire, and multiple engines, trucks, ambulances, and a chief were dispatched. The building was evacuated, and it was reported that a tractor inside had been on fire about an hour earlier, leaving hot spots and smoke. Access was difficult due to construction, and a brush engine was requested to reach the area. When command reached the maintenance building, they found only residual smoke from the earlier tractor fire and no active fire. After checking the area, most units were released and the remaining units were eventually canceled when it was confirmed there was no active fire.
