Small bedroom fire after reported suicide attempt

Emergency crews responded to a reported house fire at a residence on Lake Ridge Place after a third-party caller said a 23‑year‑old daughter had attempted suicide and set her bedroom on fire. Units staged nearby while they checked for visible smoke or additional calls from neighbors. When fire personnel reached the home, they found a two‑story single‑family house with no visible fire from the outside but could hear multiple alarms sounding in the area. Inside, they located a small fire that had been confined to a metal fireplace bucket containing newspapers in an upstairs bedroom. The fire was already out, with no spread to the room or structure, and no extension was found. Fire units stood by briefly and then confirmed the situation was under control with no active structure fire.
