Stepfather assaults family member at home

A caller reports a domestic disturbance at a home on East Nido Avenue. The caller is out of breath and says the stepfather is very aggressive and appears intoxicated. The caller reports a physical fight in which someone was hit and is now bleeding. The fiance has a bloody nose, a black eye, and scratches on the face. The stepfather is heard yelling in the background. There are five people in the home, including a younger sister upstairs. The stepfather is described as a 47‑year‑old man wearing a navy blue shirt and shorts. The caller believes the stepfather also assaulted the wife. Officers respond to the home, and one person is detained. The scene is later reported as under control.
