Multi-car crash injures older driver

A sixty-nine year old man was involved in a five-car crash with his vehicle showing moderate to severe damage. All airbags deployed. He could not remember the crash, kept repeating questions, and may have briefly lost consciousness. He had a cut on the bridge of his nose and back stiffness. Fire crews needed about ten minutes to help him out of the vehicle after he first tried to get out on his own. His heart rate was high, his blood pressure was low, and he was confused but awake and breathing well on normal room air. He was being taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital for further care.
