Multi vehicle crashes and traffic delays on Lincoln Way

Radio traffic reports a multi vehicle crash and several vehicles that have slid off the road on Lincoln Way South near Stones Hill Road. One driver in a black pickup says his vehicle was rear ended. There is a large traffic backup, and officers are redirecting southbound traffic onto other roads and closing part of the main route. Road conditions are very poor due to snow and ice, and responders note there is little or no salt on the roadway. State highway crews are being asked again to spread salt. EMS and first responders are also being sent to Laverne Terrace on North Main Street for a possible heart attack or stroke, where a man is waiting at the front entrance.
