Peoria County Case #PE-26-2443 Motor Vehicle Fatality Peoria County September 14, 2026- This morning, at approximately 7:15 am, the Illinois State Police, Fire and EMS were called to Rt 29 at Knox Street for a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision with serious injuries. A 35-year-old female was transported from the scene to OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition. Despite aggressive care and treatment, sadly, she was pronounced deceased in the critical care unit at 11:13 am. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police. Her cause of death is pending. Her name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
