MISSING PERSON UPDATE NEW LONDON TOWNSHIP, KANDIYOHI COUNTY, MN – Search efforts came to a solemn conclusion shortly after 10:00 am this morning when emergency personnel recovered the body of an adult female from George Lake in New London Township. The body has been tentatively identified as 47-year-old Felicia Swenson of Spicer, Minnesota, who was reported missing on October 24. The deceased has been transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for official identification and to determine the cause of death. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remains active and ongoing. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences to Mrs. Swenson’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The Sheriff’s Office also expresses its sincere gratitude to all the dedicated emergency personnel and partner agencies who worked tirelessly throughout this difficult operation, including the New London Fire Department, New London Ambulance, Spicer Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Willmar Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Crossmon Consulting, and the Kandiyohi County Water Rescue and Recovery Team.
