Parent reports assault and rental vehicle taken

She advised that yesterday evening her child's father took her keys for her rental vehicle in Missouri City and then left location in the vehicle.

Stemmed from an assault in Missouri City, she's wanting officers to go out to (number withheld) apartment (number withheld) to get the vehicle back for her.

I did just get off the phone with Missouri City.

They advised that they did clear the assault with a report, but that they're not entering the vehicle as stolen.
